『KUROKAWA WONDERLAND』は熊本県阿蘇郡の南小国町/黒川温泉に住む方々と都内で活躍するクリエイターによる合同制作プロジェクトから生まれた作品です。私たちは、地域の持続的な発展のためには、地域の認知度を高めるだけでなく、地域とクリエイターの互助関係を築くことが重要だと考えています。プロジェクトは、黒川の人々にとっては「黒川固有の資源や文化を世界に共有し、持続可能な地域経営への足がかりをつくる」ことを目的に、クリエイターにとっては「自らの表現を追求しつつ、黒川の文化を新しい文脈に再構築する」ことを目的として行われました。本作は、古くから伝わる黒川、そして日本の伝説や昔話をベースに、日本の阿蘇山の奥地にある黒川温泉郷の人々と共同で制作した物語です。

"KUROKAWA WONDERLAND” is a tale based on legends from ancient times in Japan - produced by a co-creation project by people of Kurokawa hot-spring village, deep in rural Mt. Aso, Japan, and creators in Tokyo. We believe that building mutual aid between locals and creators is the key to perform sustainable development in the region. This project's purposes are 1. for locals to find a clue of sustainable regional management by sharing Kurokawa's resources and culture, 2. for creators to reestablishing Kurokawa's culture while in search of their expression.
